That is a beautiful story. I often think about how often, in fear of being judged or rejected, I put up with stuff I didn't like. I worked hard to change that. I am so glad you got to meet such diverse people. Even if they didn't all turn out to be who you thought they were, you were kind. That counts for a lot.

What an amazing story! We so often don't know who anyone really is or what story they're hiding.

Wow! What a great, well-written, gripping story. It's true that only God knows the truth and what is in someone's heart, and we had better behave based on this knowledge rather than our own biased viewpoints.

Maybe your most profound feeling story. We (past) Bible Thumpers can be so “right” that we are just annoying. You were so kind. Aunt Byril was a treasure in your life, I love her.

Thank you! I love her too! I still have her wonderful peanut brittle recipe! Uncle Herman was a gift too!

thankyou cheri for this story...as you know i was also part of a sabbath keeping group like you...so i can entirely relate...when i left this group....sabbath was hardest to let go...afterall it is a commandment...and all the sunday worshippers were in violation.....wasnt til i did a study and realized we are no longer under the law but under grace....lightbulb moment!
